The couple started out with narrowing their potential wedding theme down to beach-themed and thought that was a perfect theme for an intimate but fun wedding. Having a beach-themed wedding called for a venue close to the beach, if not oceanfront. As pink, blue, sand, and white are prominent colors at the beach, Mia and Mason decided to pick rose quartz/rustic pink and Tiffany blue/limpet shell blue as their accent colors with sand and white as their complimentary colors for the wedding ceremony and reception. All elements of their wedding will provide a "beachy" and casual feel while including some formal elements.
The main reason Mia and Mason decided to have a beach-themed wedding at an oceanfront venue is because Mason proposed to Mia on the beach since they both like visiting the beach. They both grew up vacationing at the beach where they both fell in love with the playing in the sand and riding the waves. Abbott and Costello, the couple’s golden retrievers, even join them on day trips to the beach! Some of their favorite activities on the beach include frisbee, volleyball, and collecting seashells and starfish that are making an appearance in the reception decor.
As pink, blue, and sand are prevalent in the wedding, those are actually some favorite colors of Mia and Mason. Mia's favorite color is a light pink while Mason's favorite color is a lighter blue. The sandy color used as a complimentary color was a great color to use as well since it indicates the sand, where Mia likes to tan and where Mason likes to play frisbee with their dogs. Ever since Mia was little, pink has always been her favorite color such as her wardrobe being 75% pink, her room being painted pink, and her car being custom painted pink. Funny enough, Mason loves the color blue with many of his chef jackets and half being blue and white and his workout gear blue as well.
Lastly, Mason and Mia's parents were both married on a body of water while Mia's parents were married on the beach in Miami and Mason's parents married at a venue overlooking Lake Michigan. Keeping the tradition going, Mia and Mason wanted to marry on the beach in Florida where they are both currently living together. Since Kissimmee is not on the beach, they decided to marry at Daytona Beach where Mia and Mason have both vacationed several times with family and friends.
The Guests
Mia and Mason's beach wedding will consist of 100 guests including themselves and the wedding party. The couple mainly invited 100 guests for the reason of their budget. Mia has always dreamt of a beautiful wedding and that dream could only come true with a 100 guest wedding budget. The couple was able to afford an open bar that consists of wine, liquor, and beer as well as a buffet with gourmet options. As the couple's list narrowed to friends and family, Mia's dream decor became easier to afford. While the couple saved on stationary elements using the websites Zazzle and Esty, they were given group discounts sending out 100 notices, invitations, and thank-you notes and keeping a couple left over for memories.
Having a personal wedding to share the big day of Mia and Mason was something special that the couple wanted as well as the parents of both Mia and Mason. Growing up in religious families, the couple does not take marriage lightly, and in fact, their parents had a similar number of guests attend their weddings as well. This goes along with the intimate vision they had to only share their big day with 100 or so guests to make it more special and memorable. Also in the couple's vision, both the wife and husband to be wanted a night full of laughter at the reception with great music and fun times. The music was easily selected with a small list of 100 of Mia and Mason's closest family members and friends.
